Jazz Boot
Here at the Boot, Thursdays are for Jazz. Jazz Boot is our little jazz night when we pretend to be a smokey club (no smoking inside the boot cats). The name (play on Jazz Flute, also sounds Euro and makes people talk funny) has a nice ring to it and is fun to promote. The sets start at 8pm and there is a second set at 10pm. Most of them are free so enjoy the eighth notes!

Matt White is a major contributor to the Richmond Jazz scene. On the Jazz Boot nights, he plays as trio and their entire set is mostly improv. Always a great time, like Santori. Santori time. (more info)

Woody Beckner is a guitarist who studied at the Berklee College of Music and he has chosen to live here! Embrace the groove baby and party all night with some eighth notes. I think Eighth Notes is a great name for a back up band - anyone with me on this? (more info)

They call him the Shaggy Guitarist. One time he actually played a set from a lillypad. Actually i just made that up, no sense in continuing this lie. He spends his other time in a jam band called Romulus but trained with the jazziest of the jazziest. Na mean? (more info)

Jake Clemons wears a bunch of hats. Figuratively speaking of course as a real hat would not suit his head so well. The man is the nephew of Clarence Clemons and he has the smile and charisma to prove it. Come out to see his jazz project groove around like nothing else. (more info)
