Show some love for the success of your state! Richmond’s Hot Lava is a fast, catchy garage/pop who put out their last album, “Lavalogy” out on Bar/None Records. As in, the label that’s carried such little known acts as They Might Be Giants, Yo La Tengo, and Of Montreal. And Hot Lava is right at home in this company, full of fuzz, witty and infectious melodies and hooks, and good ol’ quality. Quick, minimalist indie poppers The Sad Cobras from Roanoke are a perfect accompaniment, and locals Little Trooper are on the bill as well. Hoorah!
