The fruit is delicious. The band is delicious. The comparison does not stop there, but I’ll spare the bad/obvious metaphor . Pomegranates are an up and coming indie pop act from Cincinnati, they bring a fantastic upbeat feel reminiscent of early Modest Mouse, but with much wider sonic range. The tone can at times feel shoegaze-y, without losing it’s playful and dance-able quality. Then Leeds UK’s next huge thing Your Vegas will be sharing the bill with their Coldplay/U2-ish style. They are blowing up at a hundred miles an hour, so with these two acts combined, this is most certainly one of those shows where in a couple years people will say “they played there?!”
