Sam Lowry is coming to us from Bloomington, Indiana and he will be perfroming a heartfelt and dramatic breed of dark americana and dream pop. He channels the storytelling of such greats as Michael Gira, Tom Waits and Nick Cave.

Fans of Tom Waits as well as the early British era of shoegaze should really be at The Boot this Thursday, Dec. 6. Where else would they be able to see Sam Lowry for a mere five bucks? Nowhere else, friends. Lowry’s style can best be described as surrealist and atmospheric sounds that permeate the intangible and slowly disappear into the ether. Vague enough for you? OK, I’ll also mention that fans of Slowdive and/or Sparklehorse would really get into Lowry’s unique sound. Now I hope that has piqued your curiosity enough to have you first in line at 10 p.m. with a five spot in hand.
