Did anyone in our neighborhood know this was a some sort of National thing? We used to live in Charlottesville and were aware of its existence there but just recently we have seen this pop up on the web in several locations. It seems as if it is an organizational campaign in which the state participates on promoting locally produced goods. We would like to know who runs the Buy Fresh Buy Local label so we can get one for Hampton Roads. From our minuscule investigation thus far it appears that FoodRoutes put on the whole show. If anyone has any info please send it our way. We have emailed FoodRoutes for some insight and maybe we can get some local activists to possibly volunteer.

Actually while writing this I have stumbled up this page which seems to bear the fruit of wisdom. Local wisdom. We will let you know more as things progress.
