First off we are definitely open for Lunch as of last week. The Lunch Menu can be seen HERE. Right now we are open for lunch Tues-Fri and as soon as we get the bugs worked out we will open Mon-Sat. It is just taking us a little bit to figure out how to run a completely different operation in the same space. Expect a full service coffee bar and frozen drink menu sometime next week!

Our Patio will be open this Friday. (we think) We will be referring to it as Boot Resort so expect to order another Mai Tai if your food is taking longer than expected. Hospitality Management will be visiting every table with complimentary cookies to ensure your vacation in one for the scrapbooks.

Regarding weekly emails. Nothing has been sent for quite some time but we are just getting things together and this will become more regular as we prioritize our ideas. Stay on the lookout as we will be sending out a lunch coupon soon!

We have some terrific shows in June not to mention a couple of gems for late May. This weekend in particular.

Skye Zentz | site

Dale Bartlett | site

Time: 9pm

we wait in the darkness for truffles

Mook, Skye Zentz, and Dale Bartlett. This show is the equivalent to being lost at see on your uncle’s schooner. What makes it so magical is that your uncle doesn’t even have a schooner. Wrap your mind around that. Also in case you have a little celebrity lust in you, the band Mook features Paul Dano from the film Little Miss Sunshine.

FRI MAY 25, 2007

The Freedom Jazz Movement | site

Time: 8pm
Tickets: $10

candyland is my forte

Freedom Jazz Movement. Norfolk Native Marcus Miller will be bringing his band in town to benefit the Norfolk Collegiate School of Arts. People say this will be so smooth and I ask “Like a piece wood sanded with the finest grit?” and the people say there is no grit high enough to make wood smoother that this. I have no idea where they buy their sandpaper but nonetheless I am intrigued to attend Friday night.

SAT MAY 26, 2007

The Underground Press | site
Deer Tick | site
J. Smigel | site

Time: 9pm
Tickets: $5

is this lemonade safe to drink?

The Underground Press, Deer Tick, and J. Smigel. This is a stampede of southern rock. Drugged up and blue with thoughts of The Animals running wild and free. This is not going to be a bottle smashing fest rather more a bottle collecting fest. Have you seen my bottle collection? It’s… cool.
