Sweet Mary! You need to get to the Boot! We're getting ready to install the mind meld, it's kinda of like a bar game where after the first round your server knows exactly what you want. It's revolutionary restaurant technology so don't be surprised if you've never heard of it. Also newsflash! We just put Dominion Root Beer on tap and are now serving our VA Boot Beer Float in the the grand 23oz Pilsner glass. That's right - Yoder Ice Cream and Dominion Root Beer. Looks like the Summer of No Rulez is making an early appearance. Anyhow don't be a stranger and check out these shows we've got coming at you this week.

Sidenote - the cooking class info will be published this week as we finalize the first round of chef instructors. Also look for our new film series starting April 22.

this is operatic goodness or maybe something of Black Sabbath slash Melissa Auf Der Mar sunday afternoon big wheel race. I am not sure how you prepare for this other than a little 30 min meditation followed by 2 lunges and maybe a qualude. Just be ready Norfolk, ready to give thanks to Clevelan's Mr. Gnome. They didn't travel all this way to talk to us about chili so pull out your neck brace for the morning after will be a stiff one.

dirty as I wanna be

sometimes garage rock is too stuck up and the dudes/chicks on stage are more concerned about their image than the actual music. which brings about the lesson of your image being 10 fold stronger when you let the music tell your image what to do. The Visitors are a no holds barred motorcycle runaway feast. They simply get the lead out and if you are carrying any extra lead then you have no other choice than to stop by The Boot. We got Cherry Bombs and Abscondants on the bill to help round out the evening so you don't get short changed on your rockness.

a most timely arrival

This is the official CD Release party for 1888's Honey I'd Kill, which I have yet to hear even a single note of and find that to be very annoying but hey they are masters of their craft and I am not going to bug them about it. We will however hear the whole thing on this evening which should have been marked on your calendar at the beginning of 07. Acoustic goodness starts off the night with Neva Geoffrey and A Bit Farther West. Ilad will be featured on this bill since we feel they are the most under appreciated band in Virginia and we know there will be a full crowd in attendance. Then 1888 unveils for what you have been waiting so long.
