Norfolk Restaurant Week has begun! We are excited to pull this little mid-winter changeup and celebrate some seasonal goodness. Everything is easy to view online unless you use Internet Explorer. Restaurant Week Notes - Put simply we offer a 3 course menu for $30. A couple of these evenings will be more special than others as Thursday (jan. 24) we will have live jazz starting at 8pm from the Stephen Norfleet Acoustic Trio. http://www.stephennorfleet.com/ - this is the first show in our Jazz Boot Series which will be every Thurs featuring a live jazz band with 2 full sets at 8 and 10pm. Also this Friday we have Fight The Big Bull playing their sumptuous style of ragtime afro jazz. Not sure if that is a real style but it is for the moment. They will be doing 2 full sets starting at 9pm. Boot Hours Are Changing - Since we are open this Monday for Restaurant Week and then open several Mondays in Feb we are deciding to switch things up a bit. First, from now on we will now be open Mondays (excluding Jan 29). Second we will be closing on Sunday, with the exception of doing brunch the second Sunday of every month. Our good friend Syd Meers over at Stove does brunch the first Sunday of every month and we are looking to start a little breakfast club to get a rotating Sunday crowd. We think it will be fun and our first one is Feb 10 with brunch starting at 11am.

Local Food Cooking Classes - we would like to express our thanks to the students of our cooking class as the first class was a great success. We are currently putting together a second series and doing each class twice so we can double the students. Right now we are ironing out a few kinks so we can make this more extravagant than necessary.
